Donor Family and Transplant Recipient Correspondence Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)

The TNA, in conjunction with representatives from OTA, the DonateLife Network, and the Australian Transplant Coordinators Association (ATCA), have developed a standard operating procedure (SOP) for donor family and transplant recipient correspondence.

The SOP has been developed to enable consistency in communication procedures undertaken by both DonateLife Agencies and Transplant Coordinators, and documents the procedures of how communication between donor families and transplant recipients should be managed.

The SOP has been endorsed by TNA, Jurisdictional Advisory Committee, ATCA and the Transplantation Society of Australia and New Zealand. We encourage all persons working with transplant recipients to utilise the SOP to aid in documentation and transparency. The SOP can be accessed here or via the documents page on the TNA website.
